What happened to XiaoRan's summer?
Summer 2026 was filled with lots of adventures, new feelings and happiness. While there were a lot of exciting things that happened, there was one moment that I found shocking but also fascinating.
The Grand Announcement
The moment I am choosing to discuss is the time a mayfly landed on my Confederation College hoodie. It all started at the "Live on the Waterfront" concert. I was just listening to the musicians playing their instruments, eating some food and having a great time. It wasn't until after I finished eating when my mom noticed the creature on my hoodie. I was so fascinated and curious as to why it would land on me, but I wasn't mad to see it there.
I called the fly Max as I wasn't feeling creative on the spot and am usually great at naming things. Anyways, Max stayed on my hoodie for a good chunk of time, about 20 to 30 minutes. For a short time, I felt as if I made a new friend because no matter what I did, Max would always stay on my hoodie and not move. He was really fun and so nice to have nearby. At first, I didn't even know what a mayfly was, so when I searched what Max was, I was filled with joy and happiness.
